Özet: The Southeast Anatolia Region has an important role at sowing and production area of cereals in Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Mardin andŞanlıurfa provinces. The key pests of cereals in that provinces are determined as Eurygaster integriceps Put., Zabrus spp., Pachytychiushordei Brulle., Haplothrips tritici Kurdj., Syringopais temperatella Led.; and the secondary pests are recorded as Anisoplia spp.,Porphyrophora tritici Bod., Cephus pygmaeus L., Phorbia sp, Oulema melanopa (L.), Sitobion avenae (F.) and Rhopalosiphum Padi (L.).Also determined many species of beneficial insects in that region ceral cultivars. Chemical control is used against these pests in 83.8%,48.6% and 41.6% of total that grain production areas in the years of 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively. Among that sprayed areas the mostspraying is used againest E.integriceps by % 47,7 ratio and its fallowed by Zabrus spp. 6.5%, H. tritici, 1.2%, P. hordei 1.4% and S.temperatella 0.4%, respectively. With that ratio in recent years at least two times chemical applications against adults of the Sunn pest inthe early period of wheat threatens our region’s rich beneficial insect ecosystem. As a result, conclude that will be useful by reducing thespraying areas and number of spraying compliance with the principles of integrated pest control. .
