Özet: The Ottoman Empire entered the First World War with the side of Germany to be pulled into a war with many fronts. Undoubtedly, among these fronts, the Dardanelles Front has had a distinctive significance in terms of the times then and it’s history; since Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, a leader who had held both the fate of the front and the nation in his hands, has had emerged. Colonel Mustafa Kemal, commander of the Anafartalar Group, with his incredible efforts and sharp intuition, was a brave decision maker in critical times even at the cost of his life. After the victory on 10th August in Conkbayırı, on the hills of Kireçtepe, the northernmost part of Anafartalar, the incomparable battle of resistance and struggle that started in April has had come to an end on 16th August with his command “You shall go through”
