Özet: This study was conducted in 100 vineyard enterprises representing the Diyarbakır Eğil district. Data are obtained by questionnaire from 100 producers. In the light of the data gathered in the study, it was aimed to determine the educational status, age, bond business conditions and the size of the organization. According to the results of the questionnaire, it was determined that the level of education of the producers dealing with vineculture in that district was low (44.0% primary school). The average age of the surveyed producers was 50 and 21.0% and the vineyard areas were found to be under 20 da. Viticulture is done as a family business in the region. All of the surveyed vineyard producers have stated that they have used "other" training system in the rate of 65.0%. They are preferring this system because it has been recommended to do so. It was determined that the producers are not members of any cooperatives nor a union. 65.0% of producers noted that the grape production is not profitable (mean 1.34) proper knowledge of viticultural techniques are required, viticulture is labor intensive activity and increasing the knowledge on production techniques will contribute tot he production that a large proportion of growers agreed . As a result, providing information about viticulture and increasing the income amount of producers is projected via improving the arrangements. In this study, we aimed not only to investigate the problems of viticulture in Diyarbakır-Eğil, but also to contribute solutions.
