Özet: The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of different irrigation water salinity levels [prepared as to have final Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) of below 3 with different salt sources (NaCO3, MgCl2, CaCl2) and different electrical conductivity (ECi) values (0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 30, 40 dS] on germination of different guar lines mainly used as feed and food (125-1, 1-1, 40-1, 57-1, 62-4, 94, 98, 114 ), / m) under laboratory conditions. According to the results of the variance analysis, it was determined that the irrigation water salinity on the germination rate and germination power of guar seeds were statistically significant (p <0.05). As the salinity of the irrigation water increased, the germination rate and germination efficiency decreased. When the germination rate is considered, germination occurs at the recommended level (80%) by the World Seed Association at the application level of 8 dS m-1. It has been determined that germination power is affected from 12 dS m-1 application. In genotypes, the germination rate and germination power were generally close to each other while the lowest rates were determined in genotypes 1 and 2. Within the scope of the study, the influence of increasing salinity of the irrigation water was determined for all parameters examined.
