Özet: Different plum varieties are widely used as rootstock candidate for stone fruits varieties at the rootstock breeding studies. However, resistance or tolerance to root-knot nematodes are among the most important criteria in rootstock breeding studies. Root-knot nematodes are one of the factors which cause severe damage of plum (Prunus domestica L.) trees among drupe fruits. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the reaction of rootknot nematodes of Meloidogyne incognita race 1 and Meloidogyne javanica race 1 against 1 years old plum rootstocks named as SP-1, SP-2, SP-3 (Prunus spinosa) DO-1, DO-2, DO-3 (Prunus domestica). The trial was conducted in greenhouse conditions and trial was done according to randomized complete block design with 3 replications and inoculum rate was 3000 second stage juveniles for each rootstock. Plum rootstocks were assessed according to the egg mass-reaction scale and were found to be resistant to Meloidogyne incognita race 1 and Meloidogyne javanica race 1 to 0.0 ± 0.0.
