Also, fishery sector is an important export item in the Baltic countries. Export of fisheries increased more than 5 times from $111.8 million to $676.1 million in the last 15 years. The study tries to evaluate the competitiveness of Baltic countries (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) in fisheries sector. Time series data from 2001 to 2015 have been used. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) and Trade Balance Index (TBI) were used to see the degree of the competitiveness. The estimate of RCA and RSCA shows that the Baltic countries have competitive power in fisheries sector. As a result of the TBI, Latvia and Lithuania have comparative advantage but they are net importers. It was found that Estonia has comparative advantage and net exporter in fisheries sector.
