Özet: In this study, it was trying to determine the competition power and economic status of walnut production in nuts. This research has been prepared on the basis of the data obtained from the statistical institutions and the previous scientific studies. According to data from FAO 2016, China, which has 487,000 hectares of land in the world's approximately 1,200,000 hectares of agricultural walnut area, is in the first place. Despite the fact that the domestic demand is excessive due to population density causes China not to have the same power in the international market. Despite this, since the USA has the range of standard walnut consisting of closure gardens, it became the world leader in exportation with 38% share in 2016. As for Turkey, having a field of 86,853 hectares and production of 195,000 tons it takes place in the first four countries with 5% share. In order to increase the market share of walnut and create competition between nuts, closure gardens must be established and walnut farming must be promoted through forming supplier associations and carrying out analyses and evaluations related to market and demands.
