Özet: Temephos is a non-systemic organophosphorus insecticide that is used intensively to control mosquito species. TEMEFOS has a high risk of interference with aquatic environments. Moreover, it has toxic effect for aquatic organisms. This study, rainbow trout was exposed to temephos (TE) during 96-h acute toxicity conditions. The toxic compound was given in doses of 2,45 mg/l and 4,93 mg/l (LC5096: 9.58 mg/l). Our purpose was to determine the effect of chemical content on blood parameters of this fish. Blood samples were taken from fish after temefos exposure. Afterwards hematological parameters such as white blood cells (WBC), hematocrit (Hct), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), and mean corpuscular volume (MCV) were increased and reduced in fish exposed to temephos with significant differences (p<0.05) but the others parameter were not important.
