Özet: Books have become part of the digital world in today’s world where numeric data effectively exists almost in all areas of life. The emergence of books as a digital medium shifting from its early physical properties and the wide variety of electronic book format in contradistinction to previous book forms with evident descriptive features requires that the new definition of the book, the reading experience, media-form exchange, digital reading interfaces, storage and distribution should be handled in a broad range. The aim of this study is to investigate the transformation process of the book from its emergence to the digital age and the properties of the current version of the book in electronic media in terms of the opportunities regarding reading.
