Özet: It is necessary to follow the production stages of the products obtained from ecological livestock to be presented to the consumer as reliable and healthy.The most basic way to achieve this is to control and record the entire process from production to consumption. The most basic way to understand whether animal material, which is the basic input in ecological animal production, is suitable for organic production, is to make sure that it is identified. According to the International Committee for Animal Recording (ICAR), which develops standards and guidelines for the identification of animals, traditional identification and identification methods used in livestock are now being replaced by systems such as the electronic and the biometric identification. These methods facilitate the process and provide advantages over the previous ones. These new methods are type of identification methods that are easy to use and integrate with software that can work with and provide software that enables the use of electronic devices and equipment. It is desirable that the requirement of ecological animal husbandry is to show all the natural behaviors of livestock and that the animal welfare should be at a high level. For this reason, the use of biometric identification is important for the healthy, reliable and preferred products.In this study, biometric identification methods, the usability of ecological animal farming were evaluated according to methods. These methods should be used in order to obtain the inventories accurately and reliably in ecological animal production. Carrying out livestock policies and strategies in a healthy way can contribute to environmental sensitivity and human health.
