Özet: Nowadays, time-frequency analysis of earthquake records using wavelet transform is widely employed in earthquake engineering and engineering seismology. Wavelet transform is one of the appropriate methods in investigating frequency content of signal in time domain. In this study, an earthquake occurred in Japan on 06 Oct. 2000 with a 7.3 magnitude is investigated. 303 seismometers recorded this event and two of these records, nearest and farthest to the epicenter, are evaluated through continue wavelet transforms (CWT). CWTs of east-west component of these two records are obtained and its frequency-time analysis is discussed.
