Özet: In this work, the buckling problem of constant rectangular cross-sectional slender prismatic compression members having a nonpropagating open edge crack is investigated by Transfer Matrix and Neural Network methods. Obtained results show that, besides the Transfer Matrix Method whose efficiency on technical problems such as buckling and vibration was seen previously, the Neural Network Method also an efficient and reliable method for determination of buckling load of cracked compression members and columns.
