Özet: The purpose of this study is to implement the reliability and validity study fort he values inventory developed by Rokeach for the first time in 1967.In the study, Total data N=283 has been collected from two different universities in Istanbul. The selection and placement scores received from the university entrance exam, i.e. Equal Weighted EA-2 , Numerical SAY-2 , Verbal SÖZ-2 and Language DİL were taken into consideration for the selection of the students from different departments, between the ages of 17-39; mostly from the first and second year undergraduate students. In the analyses, the data collected from 37 students, were used in the reliability study test-retest analysis.Correlation method and factor analyses were applied in accordance with the reliability and the validity study of Rokeach Values Inventory. In the first stage, the same test was given to the same groups of students at two different times in order to determine the test-rest reliability of the test and nonparametric Wilcoxon test appropriate for the values inventory which is ranking scale, was applied in order to determine whether there is any difference between two separate applications or not. According to the results of the statistical analyses, there was no statistically significant difference found between the first and second application. Spearman correlation coefficent was calculated to determine the test-retest reliability coefficient of the ranking scale type Rokeach values inventory. It was observed that the reliability coefficents ranged between Rho=.13 and .78 for terminal values and between Rho=.12 and .62 for instrumental values. Significant correlation results were obtained for all Articles of the terminal value sub-test except Article 9 an exciting life and Article 16 social approval . The KMO= .51 value obtained as a result of the Kiaser-Meyer-Olkin analysis to determine the structural validity level within the scope of the study for the inventory validity, shows that the number of elements of the study group is enough to do factor analysis.
