Özet: Alloys made of iron with silicon, manganese, chromium, nickel, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, zirconium, cobalt, boron, phosphorus, etc. are called ferro alloys. Thermochemistry played an important role in the investigation of the production methods of ferro-alloys, chemical and physico-chemical processes under the light of the three laws of thermodynamics. Ferro molybdenum is a type of steel that contains about 2% molybdenum, melting at 1325 0 C and used in the manufacture of high speed lathes. In this study, general structures of ferro alloys, types, processes, thermodynamics and their activities in the components are explained. In the second stage, general investigations on physico-chemical properties and production of ferro molybdenum, one of the types of ferro-alloys, are explained.
