Özet: Abstract One of the most effective systems in motivating and developing societies with a scientific concept, and in gaining the contemporary values is education. The teacher is one of the fundamental and active elements of the education system. As a result, the issue of teacher education, qualification, and employment has always been important nearly in every society. Teacher education in Turkey has gone through many changes since the establishment of the Republic to the present day. Most of the time, although the rationale for these changes has been specified as the training of more qualified teachers, decisions about the education of teachers to be replaced often resulted in conflicting applications. In this article, the changes carried out in teacher education in accordance with the decisions taken concerning the training of the teachers are mentioned.
