Özet: This study was carried out to explore whether or not pre-service mathematic teachers’ opinions and attitudes about environmental issues do change according to their socio-economic status. This study is descriptive in nature. An inventory comprising of both open-ended questions and a Likertscale questionnaire to investigate students’ opinions and attitudes about environment was used to collect data. They were administered to 123 students totally. Results showed that pre-service mathematics teachers were considering that the most important environmental problems were global warming, drought, climate change and the pollution of environment. Moreover, it was found that preservice mathematic teachers had moderate attitudes about the environment, although they had upper level opinions on it.
