Özet: It is a time when complexity and complex problems exist in the information age as its nature requires The need for effective leaders of organizations that want to gain a competitive advantage in the rapid change and transformation and in the solution of all these complexity and complex problems of the social, economic and technological developments is seen in this process at the work life. The existence of effective leaders in organizations always increases the success of organizations. In this context, organizations need new leaders that will be able to keep pace with the process and changes in our world , and be able to adapt to this changes and create the necessary flexibility for the organizations to adapt to this changes, create a future that can be feasible for the organization, . This leader is called the strategic leader. As a new concept in the study, it was aimed to determine the concept boundaries by examining the sources in the related domestic and foreign literature on the topic of strategic leadership. Literature search method was used for the purpose. The organization as a whole with its aims and capabilities; the concept of strategic leadership, defined as linking past, present and future, by reaffirming the core value and identity to ensure continuity and integrity in the fight against the known and unknown realities and possibilities, constitutes the scope of the study and what personal characteristics are possessed by these strategic leaders from an organizational point of view. As a result of this work, it is determined strategic leadership is an important concept not only in today but also in the future
