Özet: Cultural transmission is one of the indispensable elements of foreign language teaching. Nevertheless, it is seen that there is no definite criterion, sprawling in every aspect of life from the use of language in different contexts to religious rituals to transportation, to eating and drinking, to clothing style, to entertainment, to shopping, to working system, to natural beauty, and to works of art, how and in which way a course book should be addressed. In this study, from this point of view, it is aimed to answer the questions of How? How much?, How many? except for the question of Why?, the answer of which is already known by everyone. Within this scope, the concept of culture is examined in terms of being “universal” and “national” in culture in daily life, and it is evaluated by analyzing to what extent and which of these cultural elements are given in Yeni Hitit 1 Turkish Course Book for Foreigners
