Özet: This study aims at analyzing the level of cultural intelligence, among prospective teachers of Turkish Language. This is a new concept in the context of cultural interactions that became increasingly popular in the 21st century. In this framework, a cultural intelligence scale test was applied to 241 teacher candidates studying at the Department of Turkish Language Teaching in Gazi University. Based on the obtained data, it was observed that candidates were above the point average of cultural intelligence. Furthermore it seems that among sub-dimensions of metacognition, cognition, motivation and behavior of the cultural intelligence scale, the relation regarding behavior and motivation, is higher than others. The study does not depict a significant statistical difference in candidates’ cultural intelligence points with regard to gender, class, habitation and the location of their former high schools. There is, however, significant difference in the cultural intelligence points of those who have international friends
