Özet: The purpose of this research is to examine the content of picture books supporting the STEAM practices and to introduce the example of the event that is designed with books. In this study were used qualitative descriptive research method and document review technique. In the direction of the criterion determined within the scope of "criterion sampling" 22 pictures books was analyzed using "content analysis" method. The descriptive of the picture books which are examined in order to support the STEAM curriculum has been made according to the sub-category of "inquiry","creativity and imagination", "problem solving", "processes and products of design innovation". As a result, it has been found that books are mostly about "creativity and imagination” and “ problem solving". Authors and illustrators are suggesed to write literary books containing explanations about "questioning” and “problem solving” in order to support children's creative and critical thinking skills.
