Özet: Bertolt Brecht, who mentions about individuals’ transforming into silent witnesses of war by assuming that there are no virtues and their struggle to remain alive by blending it with the effect of meta on humans, has written about responsibilities of being a human and the destructive impact of such liabilities on the character within challenges of war in a universal language. In the study, epic theater approach of Bertolt Brecht has been mentioned, reflections of negative effects of age on community and characters in the work have been determined, and the moral collapse observed in war period has been analyzed under three headings. In the work that is fictionalized within frame of thirty year wars, examples have been given for the collapse caused by war conditions on moral attitudes. With depiction of darkness of war that pulls people to it on each day and its deadly nature, the work pictures meaninglessness of wars which disrupts people with respect to moral aspects.
