Özet: In the study conducted to determine the effect of the relationship of parents with their parents on the timid behavior problem observed in the child, a case study with a single case pattern was used. The data were collected from the child showing shy behavior, from the parent of the child to the parent of the parent (grand parent) who provides care to the child. Data from developmental history, natural observation, picture analysis and play therapy techniques were obtained from the child. Parental data; While the Young Schema Scale was obtained from the Young Parenting Scale and the individual interview, data was collected from the grandparents from the assessment through the Young Schema Scale and the individual interview. In the findings related to the child; It has been determined that there are difficulties in starting, communicating with their friends in the classroom, taking a word in their skills, expressing their opinions, expressing their desires, refusing, attitudes and behaviors. In the findings regarding the mother; It has been determined that they are reluctant to spend time with their children and often pioneer their needs according to the needs of the child. In the findings related to the grand parent; Because of his oppressive, authoritarian and prescriptive attitudes, he was found to feel obligated to take care of his grandchildren more than his mother. As a result of the study, it was concluded that behavioral problems in children are related to parental attitudes and the way their parents perceive their relationship with their parents.
