Özet: While the characteristics of a leader are observed in all groups and communities, the observation of the characteristics of the leaders in sport emerges in the expansion. Faced with many difficulties in managing sports teams and organizations, the leader is asked to manage his / her psychological processes by transferring his / her knowledge and skills. It is observed that there is a need for leaders who treat individuals individually, who value and support them. Being a leader who instills a sense of self-confidence and belonging to the group are the essential features of the leaders. The necessity of being a leader differs from the managerial position as taking the initiative, being educator, and transferring his knowledge and skills beyond his duties and powers.
