Özet: This article, from the standpoint of the forms of renewable energy sources in the 21st century, studies the current situation of the energy resources of Turkey in light of its geopolitical position. The main research question of the article is the assessment of the relationship between Turkey’s current energy supply/demand and transportation as well as how to contribute the increase of share of the renewable energy resources in the relationship to its energy geopolitics. In the first part of article, the conceptual framework and definitions will be provided. In this regard, terms of energy, renewable energy, fossil energy resources, geopolitics and Turkey’s geopolitics will be defined. In the second part, it will be elaborated the current situation of renewable energy resources of Turkey in terms of its energy geopolitics. The conclusion will analyze the current situation and future of this relationship. Despite the high potential of Turkey's renewable energy resources, it is observed not yet reached sufficient investment and power applications.
