Özet: Negative developments such as the reckless depletion of natural resources, high-speed urbanization, water and air pollution and degradation of green fields posed several threats to the living space and health of life-forms. For the purpose of finding solutions to these threats, human beings embarked on a quest to ensure the efficient use of resources and to prevent the destruction of nature. In conjunction with this quest, the concept of ‘sustainability’ entered into the picture. After the introduction of the concept of sustainability, sustainability was defined also within the scope of construction and various criteria were put forward for the building construction. In light of these criteria, environment factor was more frequently taken into consideration and was entitled to occupy a more crucial place in the field of ergonomics. Discussions on the environmental aspect of ergonomics called attention to the concept of green ergonomics. In this respect, the study underlined the concepts of sustainability, green ergonomics and green building, questioned their relationships with ergonomics, and interpreted and explained their meanings through an exemplary location. To set as the example, ‘Campus of Konya Food and Agriculture University’ which was located in Konya province of Turkey and designed by Yazgan Design & Architecture Co. Ltd. with the principle of ‘sustainability' was selected. Campus was first analyzed within the framework of main topics of LEED through the score table prepared by EcoBuild. On the basis of results obtained from this analysis, the study presented an overview from the perspective of ‘green ergonomics’, significant to the user’s well-being and health.
