Özet: This study aims to determine the state of border trade in Turkey, in consideration of the legal regulations which outline the border trade process. Within the scope of this study, information on value quotas, quantity and time limitations are given on the basis of import and export data for the year 2018. Components of the border trade, such as obtainment of authorization, establishment of border trade centers and customs clearance process are scrutinized. In light of the information gathered, the study suggests findings to develop and improve the capacity of border trade between Turkey and the neighbouring countries.
