Özet: The reduction of the share of industry in creating GDP and in aggregate employment is a natural process which marks the transition from industrial to information society. This cardinal change in the structure of national economies is often accompanied by a radical change in the professional careers of employed people, a rise in unemployment and poverty and exacerbation of social conflicts. The transition from industrial production to the development of different types of services is difficult and often has a high cost.
