Özet: According to Schumpeter, economic life is constantly changing. Schumpeter states that this dynamic structure of economics makes economic life more complex. Schumpeter tried to find the balance within the imbalance against the equilibrium approach prevailing in Neo-Classical economic theory by emphasizing the constant change and dynamism. Schumpeter argued that the main impulsive force that disrupted the static state of economic life was the creative energies of innovative entrepreneurs.  These energies of innovative entrepreneurs have led to the creative destruction process. In this study, according to Schumpeter, the concept of creative destruction, which constitutes the impulsive force for economic growth and development, is evaluated both in terms of its historical and present reflections.
