Özet: In this study, the oil-dollar system and process of the formation of the oil market in Turkey, contributions to public revenue, financial law elements, factors affecting fuel prices, price fluctuations, fuel tax system and the market economy have been investigated. Between 2000 and 2018, the annual percentage change between Brent oil and local oil prices and indirect taxes was examined and it was observed that Brent oil was effective in domestic prices and indirect taxes were determined according to fiscal policy. At the end of the study, Turkey’s predictable markets and energy supply security policies were evaluated
