Özet: Aim: Since every person's perception of information and perception priorities are different in the learning process, many learning styles have emerged. Besides, individuals' experiences in the home, school, and community and the teacher's learning style are useful in the formation of learning styles. Also, it has determined that students with different learning styles have increased their success in learning environments that arranged by using appropriate teaching approaches (Brunner and Majewski, 1990; Burns, Johnson, and Gable, 1998). This study aimed to determine whether the learning styles of university students differ in terms of some variables. Method: A total of 350 students (n = 94 females and n = 256 males) have participated voluntarily in this study. Kolb Learning Style Inventory-III, which was developed by Kolb (1999) and adapted to the Turkish language by Evin Gencel (2007), was used in the study. After the descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation), the data analyzed for normal distribution using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and non-parametric tests applied during the analysis of variables. While the Mann-Whitney U test used for the analysis of gender and grade variables, the Kruskal-Wallis H Test used for the variables of high school type, department, educational level of the mother, educational level of the father, monthly income and the region that students were living before university life. Data analyzed by SPSS 24 software. The significance level accepted as 0.05. Findings: There was a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) found in terms of father education level and the region that students were living before university life. There was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05) found in gender, type of high school graduation, department, class, educational level of the mother, monthly income level. Results: While determining the learning styles, the variables of the educational level of the father, and the region that students were living before university life were active. It concluded that gender, type of high school, department, grade, educational level of the mother, monthly income were not useful in determining learning styles.
