Özet: It has been observed that events that took place during the 15th July 2016 ineffective coup attempt have widely been presented in the international media as well as in the Turkish media. FETO terrorist organization, which is the perpetrator of the  ineffective coup attempt, has caused many chaos in the country and tried to overthrow the elected president, hence tried to take over the country management. However, this coup attempt has failed, as a result of the citizen's great efforts and supplying the National will. The objective of this study is about a content analysis of the 15th July coup attempt in the Arab media. A qualitative study method was adopted and Saudi Arabia and Turkey's political and cultural differences are taken into account in the selection of persons and institutions. Within the scope of this study, the content analysis of the articles that have determined on the Arabic 21 website of Ismail Yasa, the famed newspaper writer of the country, was made to understand how the events of 15th July are reflected in the Arab media. In the researches, it is seen that official and semi-official newspapers underestimated the coup attempt by the FETO terrorist organization with “theatre” and similar discourses.
